Bespoke Research

In addition to publishing multi-client reports on international developments in 'direct-to' and aluminium plate manufacture, VSM also conduct bespoke investigations into related subjects on behalf of private clients.

Upon request, a formal Proposal is submitted to the potential client free of charge, setting out

  • The Background to the Research
  • The Objective of the Research

to ensure that VSM and the client fully understand what is expected to come out of the research programme

  • The Methodology to be employed

A Proposed Table of Contents if the results of the research are to be presented in the form of a Report, or a List of Topics, if the findings are to be subject of a Presentation by the authors.

The Timing & Cost of the research, setting out how long the research is expected to take, and how much it will cost the client company.

In such a Proposal, VSM explains how much information they already have in their database and how much original research will need to be undertaken so that the client has a full understanding in assessing the cost of the research.

After the submission of the Proposal, the potential client is free to choose whether or not to commission the work.

Note: In adherence to Chartered Institute of Market Research guidelines, VSM are precluded from carrying out similar research programmes for client competitors for a period of two years after completion of bespoke research programmes.
